Cupcake Class with Stampin'Up! only!!

Cupcake Class Cards, #4 & #5!!

Ok, hope you are liking the cards so far!!  These are two more that we did and I just love how they turned out!  Tomorrow I'll show you the pic of all six cards, the box and the envelopes!  It is a great set to use for a gift and the box will fit a Lil'Kins perfectly for a birthday party!!  My kids just love those Webkins!!  I'm working on my October calendar and hope to fit in a stamp a stack this month!  I'll let you know as soon as I have a date picked!!

KC Regional Make & Takes!

Here are three of the make & takes we did yesterday at Regionals!  I made mine earlier in the week since I was a helper!  The other three make & takes aren't quite done because I didn't have the right stamp set at home!!  Melissa was so nice to stamp those yesterday for me so I will have to get them done soon!!  Thanks Melissa!!!  Hope you enjoy the pics!!  I'm not going to list supplies because I'm trying to sneak a post in while the family is busy elsewhere!!  he-he!!  Do you ever hide out like that??  Anyway, email me if you can't figure it out!! This is the 6 x 6 scrapbook page we did!!

This is the little basket from the Sizzix Big Shot and I can't wait to go make more of these!!  I ordered textured card stock so I could use that to make them and I can't wait to get it done!!  It's going to be my "Book to Look" tray - pics coming soon!!

These last two pics are the Scallop Note holder and notes!  We did three cards with matching designer envies all in a cute little card holder!!  I am in love with this new set!!  Isn't it funny how you don't even notice a set in the catalog and then someone does some great things with it and it is a must have!!!  I did my 12 x 12 scrap swap with this set and can envision a whole scrap and card class with this set - so versatile!!!  Anyway, look for this to be used a lot in the future!!  Have a great day and thanks for stopping by!!

More cupcake cards from class this week!

Hello everyone!  I had a great time at Regionals today and will post those projects tomorrow!  Here are two more cards we made at cupcake class this week!  They were great little 4 x 4 cards and everyone liked making this new size!  The first card uses the emboss resist technique and the second card is pretty straight forward stamping with a little Crystal Effects on the frosting!  Enjoy and thanks for checking out the blog!!

Cupcake Class Peek...

Hello everyone!  Hope you are all as busy creating as I have been recently!  Sorry for the delay in posting - hopefully I'll get better as time progresses!!  Here are two of the pictures from Cupcake Class!  Over the next few days I'll post the pictures of the cards and my stuff from KC Regionals so be sure to check it out daily!!  This is the box which uses the dimensions from Andrea Walford's tutorial but I added the ribbon handle and changed the stamp set to fit my theme!  The designer envelopes were also made at Cupcake Class!  I just loved this class!  it was very fun to create and I think everyone liked the cards as well!  Next month all of these sets are on special for 20% off so if you can wait a few days do it!!  You can order them Wednesday via online ordering through my website in the upper right of the page!!  Be sure to get this big cupcake stamp which makes super cute Thank You cards and a whole lot more!!  We used a marker to do the outline and make this box!  Actually, this is a picture of Heidi's box all complete with cards and envies - she was the first one done!!  Since my stuff was on three tables I just used her creation!!  Thanks Heidi!  The "frosting" was made with the shaving cream technique!

The next pic is of the envelopes we made!  Cindy Lawrence has a great tutorial on her blog that shows how to make these envelopes!  Love it!  I just wish the US postal service would mail that size!!  They are so cute for a gift bag that it really is fine if you can't mail them anyway!! You can see parts of the cards we made and I'll show you some cards tomorrow and the rest either over the weekend or early next week!  It depends on how cute my Regional stuff is - and I know it will be!!  When you are done looking you are going to want to get all of the birthday sets since they are 20% off in October!!

Stamp Room!!

Ok, as promised (a little late - sorry!) here are pics of my new stampin space!!  I didn't include the "classroom" area because without people it is pretty boring!  I'll take pictures of that side next week at Cards & Cupcakes!!  Anyway, this is our unfinished basement and it just goes to show that you don't need to be fancy to be happy!  We did all of this for less than $150 - though my hubby is quite handy!!  We painted the concrete (Certainly Celery of course), finished the stairs, hung pegboard over the insulation, hung work lights and re-arranged my area.  I was already down there it just wasn't as pretty!  Anyway, my husband made the ink holder to my specifications out of scrap!  He also built the stamp table and it has shelves beneath it for big things like bags, grid paper, etc...  The rest I have acquired over time.  I keep the stamps sorted by function (flowers, juvenile, hostess, background, Christmas, other holidays, words, alphabets and new)!!  It works well for me!!  That way I know what I have used and what I have not used!!  There is additional storage shelving for "hard lines" such as bottles, bags, boxes, coasters, candles, etc...  I would say 95% of my paper crafting and 100% of my stamps are from SU.  I don't use other companies products because I really feel ours are the best!!  The only thing left to do is set up the table I have for my Big Shot Station!  I am going to allow my customers to come use the big shot and all of my dies for a minimal fee!  This way they can make their projects without the expense of the Big Shot.  I'm sure some of them will love it and NEED it!  Others will be happy to come use mine!! Anyway, onto the pics and let me know if you have any other questions.  These weren't taken at the best time of day so it it a little weird looking.  I still need to hang window treatments before class next week!!  Sorry about the next pics - very few pics are allowed at our house when Norah is around that don't include her!  She's the baby - and the boss!!

Downline Meeting...

The date for our quarterly Downline Meeting is set for November 2nd at 6 pm!!  I am super excited to have dinner with our group and do a shoebox swap!  In addition to the swap we will be making this little tote and four cards to go inside!  All of this can be made with one sheet of 12 x 12 paper!!  Love that!!  There is still time to join our group for only $99!!  If you would like to be your own boss and do something you love while making a little money to pay for your supplies just give me a call!  We have a very fun, positive, outgoing group of ladies that like to stamp!!  There is room for more now that my stamping room is complete!!  Yep, it's done and ready to stamp in!!  I'll be posting some pics for you tomorrow so be sure to check back!!  A big thanks to Mimi Henwood (my third level up) for giving me this template at our last group meeting!  Mimi rewards us in three areas and this little tote was for sales!!  Thanks for checking out the blog and have a great day!!

5 in 1 Envelope Tool!!

I have finally purchased the 5 in 1 envelope tool after Rox has been asking me about it for two years!!  Ok, so I'm a little slow with that particular customer service item!!  I really liked making the envelope and I also liked the size of card it holds!!  I have to say, it isn't the most economical way to go - but I'm having a lot of fun with this new size!!  This is the wedding card I made for one of my stampers - hi Missy!!  I missed her wedding this weekend because of sick kids!  Also, that is why there wasn't a post on Monday!!  Norah was sick Friday to Monday and Madi is sick now!  Madi's fever was over 103 a lot of the day yesterday so I didn't have anytime to post!!  Anyway, I really liked this new toy of mine!!  It's a lot of fun for $10 and is so easy to use!!  I positioned the template so the flower on this DSP would show at one end!  I used retired paper to play with it, but liked it so much I used all of that packet to make the rest of the gift!!  I'll have to show it later after Missy opens it!!  I have another wedding this weekend so I have to get busy on that gift too!  Here is the card, envelope and template in the first photo!  I'm cracking up that my Excedrin is in the photo!!  I guess that is a necessary tool of mine!!

I used very vanilla cs, sahara sand ink, retired DSP Le Jardin, retired set Warmest Regards, the pretties kit and taffeta ribbon!  I love those big flowers and this size card worked perfectly for it!! The envelope is right in front of the card on my stamping table.  It's kind of hard to tell it is an envelope, but it opens on the right end that has that big flower!  I left the flap open to help you visualize it!!  The next pic is a close up of the card!

Moonlighting and Spotlighting...

This is the card we made at club this week!  We did moonlighting on the front and spotlighting on the inside!!  Jan Tink had done this card and technique and I just loved it!  I changed the papers a bit, but left it pretty much the way she did it!!  I just didn't see room for improvement - thanks Jan!!  On the inside we did the spotlighting technique and on the card we used every stamp from the set!  Everyone liked it and really liked that I showed them a card from a set some of them already owned from last year!  I am going to get going on some new stuff once my space is ready again!  Currently ALL of my stuff is under a drop cloth in the middle of the room - ugh!!  Not the most fun, but I'm excited to see the end result!!  Here is the card - inside and out!! I used the new Halloween paper, Kiwi Kiss, and Basic Gray!  We used the Earth Elements watercolor wonder crayons and sponged in Elegant Eggplant!  Hope you like it and give all of the compliments to Jan!!

Winner, winner!!!

This month we had a club challenge for those ladies that wanted to participate!  We used SCS #191 for our challenge and all 30 club members voted on the five cards!  The winner was my new recruit, Melissa!  She is so very talented and has been stamping longer than me so she is our true expert in the group!!  Everyone did a great job and it was so hard for everyone that voted to pick their favorite!  We have a busy weekend planned working on that crazy basement of ours to get it ready for stampers!  We are moving the classroom out of the upstairs and into the downstairs to give my family a little more room on club nights!!  Now that we meet five nights it's getting a little difficult to kick the kids upstairs!!  So, we are faux finishing the basement to move the classroom downstairs!  I'll have to take some before and after pictures - actually we already started so my before will be a little skewed!!  Anyway, onto the cards - after all - that's why you are here looking!!  This is the group shot of all of the cards!  Which one is your favorite???  They are all wonderful!  Everyone that put a card in will get a little prize from me and Melissa will get a sampling of some of our ribbons to use on her cards!!
