Christ is Born, Christmas Club Card...

This was one of our first Christmas Club cards this year.  It uses the retired Riding Hood Red ink and striped ribbon!  We embossed the main image in gold on vanilla.  The poinsettias are stamped on Sahara Sand and on the inside there are more poinsettias with the greeting that have gold embossed centers.

Christmas Club was a big hit last night!  Lots of fun!!!  It looks like we are in for a rainy day today in KC!  Mark your calendars for October 4th for Halloween Treats Class!!  I'm heading to the store to buy some candy to complete the projects and will show them later this week!!  Have a great day!!!

Stampin'up! Catalog Case!

Here is another card we made at Christmas Club!  I cased this from the Stampin'Up! Idea Book and Catalog!  Love it!!  If you don't have a catalog let me know - I have a bunch!!  Place a $50 order and get one FREE!! 

I love making Christmas Cards and can't wait for my order to arrive today!!  I'll be creating the cards for Christmas Stamp a Stack this Sunday and get them posted on Wednesday!  The class is at 2 and again at 7 that night!  We will make 13 cards plus envelopes and probably some "bonus" tags!  All for $25 and I supply everything!!  Just bring a friend and a soda!!  Advanced reservations required!

Colors used in this card are Very Vanilla, Bashful Blue, Old Olive and Ruby Red.  The greeting is stamped in Old Olive Craft ink and embossed with Clear Embossing powder.  I used the Old Olive, Creamy Caramel and Ruby Red markers to color the elves.

Snow much Fun!!!

I just love doing Christmas Cards!!  They are the easiest to create especially with these new WONDERFUL stamps we have!! 

This was one of our first cards for Christmas Club!  There are embossed polka dots on the Bashful Blue layer of card stock using the Texture plates and the Sizzix Big Shot!  It's hard to see on the photo!!  We used Shimmery White for the sparkle and added some dazzling diamonds to the snow and snowmen!!  This is a level three hostess set that I really love!  We stamped in Bashful Blue and used celery, melon mambo and bashful blue markers to color. 

Also LOVE this new polka dot ribbon!  I've already used two spools - LOVE IT!!

These are great cards to tuck away as ideas for next year!  Lisa's is an invitation to her Holiday Open House and could be used all winter if you replace his tree with something else!  Love that Mr. Twigster!!  No time like the present to get those holiday cards done for next year!  That way you've used up your supplies and will have room for more when the new catty arrives!!

Stampin' with the girls!!

Too often I get too busy to just stamp for fun with friends!!  The other week I was invited to Angie's to do a little stampin' and visiting for the holidays!  I only wish I could have stayed longer!!!  Here are the projects we made...

These were the shoebox swap items.  The ornament is from Julie Case, she is so talented!  Her blog is www.juliecasedesigns.typepad.com and she is most famous for the Peppermint Patty spiders!!  My favorite thing on her blog is the frames she did - go look at them!!!  The bag is Angie's and you can link to a tutorial on her blog at www.chicnscratch.typepad.com and once you find the bag you can link to the tutorial!

These cards were done by Sally, Jen and Jennifer Murphy!  I know Jennifer Murphy doesn't have a blog, but the other two ladies do!  I met them for the first time that night and can't remember their last names to search for them!  I'll call Angie later and get them to update the blog with links to their sites!

Smore's Snowman Punch Art Card...

Here is one of the cards we did at class last week!  It is also included in the class kit I am offering this weekend!!  Don't forget to leave a comment for Blog Candy below!!

This is the super cute Mr. Smores - a cousin of Mr. Twigster!  I can't take the credit for him, he is a swap I received at Regionals from Paula Barnes!!  I switched up the sizing of the fold a little and changed the designer paper and the snowflake a bit for my class!  I really like this paper!!!  While there is no stamping on the outside there is Merry Christmas on the inside!!  Also, when you fold him up the sentiment is on the strip behind him and the bottom flap can hold a gift card or a picture!!  Such a cute little idea and would make a great winter birthday card too!

Christmas Club Card #2 - Holiday Lineup!

Here is our second Christmas Club Card!  We used Holiday Lineup which is one that I just love!  So easy to make a great card!!  This is a very busy week with three clubs meeting and I will be at the Holiday Extravaganza at Oak Run Estates in Olathe on Thursday!  Over 50 vendors in five homes!  Should be a blast!  I'll post specifics on the address on Wednesday!!  I hope everyone had a great weekend!  We had a lot of fun at the Lake of the Ozarks Christmas shopping with my mom and sisters for mom's birthday!  We have a great start on Christmas purchasing and had fun doing it!!  Madi survived her annual volleyball tryouts - wow, do we hate that process!!  Very stressful!  She ended up with three bids for the week and one callback.  Well, needless to say she was very tired after four tryouts Saturday and decided to pick from her bids rather than add a second day doing callbacks!  So, she will be playing for KC Sports this year and we know she will learn a lot and have fun doing it!  She loves the sport and makes friends easily so this will be a good fit for her!!  Well, onto the card...

 All Supplies Stampin'Up! - Holiday Lineup stamp set, Many Merry Messages stamp set, Basic Gray Classic ink pad, Pink Pirouette Classic ink pad, Versamark pad, Pink Pirouette card stock, Chocolate Chip card stock, Whisper White card stock, Blender Pen, Signo White Gel Pen, Iridescent Ice embossing powder, Heat Tool.

It is probably hard to tell in the picture, but once we colored the image we covered the entire piece in Versamark and use Iridescent Ice embossing powder over it to give the entire image a sparkly overlay!  It is really pretty in person - go do it and see for yourself!  I made the chocolate strip behind the same width as the double stitched grosgrain ribbon so you could use that and it looks great also!  I used the paper and stitching to show the technique and show how to make a more cost effective card!  Well, thanks for checking out the blog and have a wonderful week!!

This is the card that Melissa Barker brought to our downline meeting on Saturday for all of us to make!  Melissa is my newest downline member and is very talented!!  We all had a great time at the meeting!  If you are looking for a fun group in the Southern Johnson County area of Kansas just give me a call!!  No pressure, just honest answers to your business questions!!  I'm heading to the lake for my mom's birthday and a girl's weekend!  So, you might hear from me on Sunday night, but otherwise it will be Monday!!

Mr. Twigster on ice!

I just love my Mr. Twigster!!  This is my favorite stamp from the Stampin'Up! Winter Mini Catalog!!  And he is so affordable!  This was one of our Christmas Club cards from Monday!  It is a super easy layout and looks great with a lot of different stamps!  I really like Mr. Twigster colored with the glitter!  I put him on some Bashful Blue re-inker so it looks like he is balancing on Ice with his little arms out!  I couldn't decide if I liked the brads or not but it needed something.  I didn't like that strip scalloped punched with the busy paper underneath.  So, I went with the brads!  Well, hope you enjoy the pics!
