Stampin'Up! 2009 Spring catalog has arrived!!

They are here and I'm so excited!!  I'm getting them ready to be handed out on Sunday!  IF you can wait please do because it is so fun to look at it together!  The Open House is Sunday from 6 to 9 at my house and we will be stamping, eating and drooling over the new catty!  Everyone is welcome, but a reservation for FREE stamping is appreciated so supplies can be prepared!! If you have not reserved a copy of the catty I have a few extras (actually only 5 extra) so call me if you are planning to come and you want your name on one of the extras!! I'll take a pic of them once I get them all stickered and prepped for Sunday!! Six cases are a lot to prepare!   

Stamp Room!!

Ok, as promised (a little late - sorry!) here are pics of my new stampin space!!  I didn't include the "classroom" area because without people it is pretty boring!  I'll take pictures of that side next week at Cards & Cupcakes!!  Anyway, this is our unfinished basement and it just goes to show that you don't need to be fancy to be happy!  We did all of this for less than $150 - though my hubby is quite handy!!  We painted the concrete (Certainly Celery of course), finished the stairs, hung pegboard over the insulation, hung work lights and re-arranged my area.  I was already down there it just wasn't as pretty!  Anyway, my husband made the ink holder to my specifications out of scrap!  He also built the stamp table and it has shelves beneath it for big things like bags, grid paper, etc...  The rest I have acquired over time.  I keep the stamps sorted by function (flowers, juvenile, hostess, background, Christmas, other holidays, words, alphabets and new)!!  It works well for me!!  That way I know what I have used and what I have not used!!  There is additional storage shelving for "hard lines" such as bottles, bags, boxes, coasters, candles, etc...  I would say 95% of my paper crafting and 100% of my stamps are from SU.  I don't use other companies products because I really feel ours are the best!!  The only thing left to do is set up the table I have for my Big Shot Station!  I am going to allow my customers to come use the big shot and all of my dies for a minimal fee!  This way they can make their projects without the expense of the Big Shot.  I'm sure some of them will love it and NEED it!  Others will be happy to come use mine!! Anyway, onto the pics and let me know if you have any other questions.  These weren't taken at the best time of day so it it a little weird looking.  I still need to hang window treatments before class next week!!  Sorry about the next pics - very few pics are allowed at our house when Norah is around that don't include her!  She's the baby - and the boss!!

This is what they looked like while I was getting them cut!  It was so pretty in person!  I really wanted to keep it all!  I really can't wait to use the Pacific Point striped ribbon!  It is so striking in person! 

This is what it looks like in it's fancy Ziploc packaging!  It makes me not want to give them away, but since they are paid for I better!!  This is the last one I have to deliver today to my friend Rox once she gets off work!  Hi Rox!!!  Have a great day and I'll be posting some cards I've been working on soon!! 

Fall Clubs now forming!!!

Fall clubs are now forming!  If you live in the Johnson County Kansas area you are not far from me!!  I have three clubs forming to begin in August!  Christmas Club, Scrap Club and Long Distance Club - check the attachment for details!!  Download fall_clubs_2008.doc

Technique club is tonight so I'll try to post something later today.  I won't show the club stuff until all clubs have met so those will be posted next Tuesday!!  We are doing the Chalkboard Technique and a Criss Cross Card!!
